Hoenn. Hands down.
It's big, it's varied, the music was GREAT, just overall awesome. 3rd Gen in general was amazing.

I liked the huge sea routes in Hoenn. A nice change from a mostly land instead of sea.
But imo Sinnoh was the best region.

I agree, I like Sinnoh the most. Evidence is the fact that I have over 540 hours on Diamond. No matter how much I play I always find something to do.

My favorite was Hoenn, like op said, the music is stuck in his head, well that's true for me too.
Hoenn>Johto=Kanto>Sinnoh
I disliked Sinnoh and (especially) its new pokemon

I can agree with that, slightly. Nothing is sadder then starting up a new game and the first Pokemon you encounter in the wild is a Bidoof. After you get past the first batch of half retarded beaver looking water Pokemon, I start to enjoy the region.

I mean, seriously. A city built out of trees. A town floating on logs. The place was awesome.

I love Johto the most. I spent quite a bit of time on Ruby when I first got it, though... Adore the soundtrack in 3rd gen.

Tie between Johto and Sinnoh, but all four regions are really pretty nice.

Mine is Johto, but that's probably because I have such a favoritism for the second gen.
Aesthetically, probably Sinnoh. Screw Hoenn and those ungodly water routes.
