Took 6 hours to beat the first E4 (I took my time, enjoying the sights, catching legendaries, stuff like that.) Then I traded all my stuff from Platinum and started learning competitive battles and roflstomped the new E4 and Red. 9 hour completion.

It took me about a month. I spent a lot of time breeding and gambling in Goldenrod City, and I was doing a run with only Ground-types.
Good times.

I'm really taking my time then. I've spent 29 hours and I only have 3 badges. Where do I get the medicine for the ampharos??

I spent around 24 hours playing through and beating it my first time, the second time I beat it in around half of that because I was rushing through it.

About a month; I liked to cycle between finding everything and enjoying the nostalgia.

I was on my way to beating the game. I had beaten the Dragon type Gym Leader (but not the people in the cave in the back) when I borrowed my friend's DS so I could trade over my legendary Pokemon. Well, I traded them over but I also traded all the Pokemon I had been using to win against the trainers so far. Well my friend goes home and I go to continue playing and my Legendaries aren't listening to my commands. Turns out that until I beat the people in the cave in the back then they won't respond. So I have six or seven Legendaries on my Soul Silver game that I can't trade back (my friend and I are having a falling out) and I can't beat the trainers in the back because my Legendaries would rather die then listen. So I am stuck in a limbo.

I spent too much time breeding so many Eevee's (and still no female ;_;) that it took me about a month.
