TOURNAMENT DAY ONE: Wednesday, August 4th, 2010
Hey guys, here it is--the official announcement for FrancisGTS's first tournament!
This tournament will use Pokémon Online, so that everyone has an opportunity to enter and compete.
I'll be adding the details to the specific rules as we go, but for now, here's our initial thread. Sign up for the tournament in this thread. All you need to decide is what Pokémon type you will be selecting.
Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Up to 64 people may join, but the tournament size may be lowered to 32 depending on how many apply. If you are not available for the Round 1 eliminations, you may be replaced by whoever applied to join after the first 32 entrants, and so on.
Dual-type Pokémon are allowed, as long as your primary type is one of the Pokémon's 2 types.

Clause List
No Ubers:
No Pokémon from the Uber tier are allowed in play. The list can be found here.
Sleep Clause
Only one Pokémon may be put to sleep at one single time, excluding the use of Rest.
OHKO Clause
The use of OHKO moves Fissure, Horn Drill, Guillotine, and Sheer Cold are illegal.
Evasion Clause
The use of moves that increase Evasion are not allowed.
Species Clause
More than one Pokémon of the same species on a single team is not allowed. This does not include NFE Pokémon of the same chain of evolution.
Item Clause
No two Pokémon on the same team can carry the same item. (Leftovers is an exception, as 2 Pokémon may hold it.)
WARNING: As there are less than 6 Dragon-types that are not uber, you will have to use not fully evolved Pokémon if you wish to use a full dragon-type team. This means Gabite, Dragonair, etc.
